आज मातातीर्थ औंशी अर्थात् आमाको मुख हेर्ने दिन । आमाप्रति सम्मान र सम्झिने दिन । संसारको सबैभन्दा पवित्र सम्वोधन हो, ‘आमा’ । आमा भएकाहरु त खुशी साटिरहेका होलान् । जसले आमा गुमाए उनीहरुलाई आजको दिन विरक्त लाग्दो हो । तर, नेपालमा केही त्यस्ता आमाहरु छन्, जसले टुहुरा बालबालिकालाई आमाको अभाव हुन दिएका छैनन् । तिनै कर्मदाता आमाहरुको यहाँ चर्चा गरिएको छ ।
बालआश्रम खोलेर अभिभावकविहिन बालबालिकाको सेवा गरेर उनीहरुको उज्वल भविष्य बनाउन प्रयत्न गर्छु भन्ने चाहनाले अन्तर दृष्ट्रिको स्थापना गरेको नन्दा बताउँछिन् ।
नन्दा सिंह । जो आफैंमा दृष्ट्रिविहिन छिन् । तर, कैयौं दृष्ट्रिको सहारा बनिरहेकी छिन् । विगत ४ वर्षयता कपनको बालुवाखानीमा अन्तर दृष्टि नेपाल बाल आश्रममा उनले अभिभावक गुमाएका बालबालिकाको हेरचाह गर्दै आएकी छिन् । उनी ती बालबालिकाको आमा बनेर गाँस,बास कपास र पढाईको व्यवस्था गरिरहेकी छिन् । करिव ६ महिना अघि प्रखर वक्ता रमेश प्रसाईंसँग विवाह गरेसँगै थप चर्चामा आएकी नन्दाको आश्रममा अहिले १२ जना बालबालिका छन् । जसमध्ये, ९ बालिका र ३ बालक छन् ।
कालिकोटमा जन्मिएकी नन्दाकोे बाल्यकाल अभावमै बित्यो । पढ्न लेख्न समस्या थियो । अभिभावक हुँदा त यति अभाव र पढाईलेखाईमा गाह्रो भयो भने अभिभावक गुमाएका बालबालिकालाई कति गाह्रो भएको होला ? भन्ने प्रश्न उनको दिमागमा आयो । त्यसैले बालआश्रम खोलेर अभिभावकविहिन बालबालिकाको सेवा गरेर उनीहरुको उज्वल भविष्य बनाउन प्रयत्न गर्छु भन्ने चाहनाले अन्तर दृष्ट्रिको स्थापना गरेको नन्दा बताउँछिन् ।
अन्तर दृष्टिमा रहेका बालबालिकाले उनलाई प्रायः दिदी भनेर बोलाउँथे । तर, आज बिहानै ‘ह्याप्पी मदर्स डे’ भन्दै झुम्मिए । त्यसले आफूलाई भावुक बनाएको उनी बताउँछिन् । ‘मलाई आमाकै रुपमा हेर्दा रहेछन्,’ उनले भनिन्, ‘उनीहरुले मलाई आमा भनेको सुन्दा खुशी लाग्छ । त्यसैले यिनीहरुकै आँखाबाट संसार हेर्ने इच्छा छ ।’
मेरो घर, धन–सम्पती सबै यही बाल गृहको नाम गरिसकेँ,’ मीना भन्छिन्, ‘अब मसँग यही एउटा भौतिक शरीर मात्र छ, यो पनि तिनै बालबालिकाको हेरचाहका लागि समर्पित गरेको छु ।’

मीनाले यसअघि ४० जनाको भविष्य उज्वल बनाइदिएकी छिन् । उनीहरु कोही नेपालमै छन् भने कतिपय विभिन्न देशमा पुगेका छन् । आफूले बाटो देखाइदिएका छोराछोरीले देश तथा विदेशमा पुगी कर्ममा खटिएको देख्दा गर्व महशुस हुने उनी बताउँछिन् ।
यति धेरै बालबालिकाको आमा हुन पाउँदा खुसी लाग्छ,’ मेनुका भन्छिन्, ‘मेरो पनि एउटा छोरा छ, त्यसैले मेरा १८ जना छोराछोरी छन् । सबैले आमा भनेर बोलाउँछन्, बाहिरबाट थाकेर आएको बेला उनीहरुको मायाले दुःख पीर बिर्सन्छु ।’
