यसकारण मनाउन थालियो ल्होसार
तामाङ समुदायको सांस्कृतिक पर्व सोनाम ल्होसारका अवसरमा सरकारले आज बिहिबार देशभर सार्वजनिक बिदा दिएको छ।समुदायले यो पर्व नयाँ वर्षको रुपमा मनाउने गर्छन्। वर्ष २०२५ चाँही सर्पको वर्ष भनिएको छ । बाह्र वर्गका वर्षहरूलाई बाह्र राशिका रूपमा पनि लिने गरिन्छ ।
हरेक वर्ष माघशुक्ल प्रतिपदाका अवसरमा विभिन्न कार्यक्रम गरी सोनाम ल्होसार पर्व मनाइन्छ।
एसियाका अन्य कतिपय समुदायका क्यालेण्डरले जस्तै यो समुदायको क्यालेण्डरले पनि हरेक नयाँ वर्षलाई एउटा जीव जनावरको नाम दिने गरेको छ।
मुसा, गाई, बाघ, खरायो, ड्रागन (मेघ), सर्प, घोडा, भेडा, बाँदर, चरा, कुकुर र सुँगुर गरी १२ किसिमका वर्ष हुन्छन्। तामाङ, गुरुङ,शेर्पा लगायत भाषामा ल्हो भनेको वर्ष र सार भनेको फेरिनु हो। ल्होसारका १२ वटै वर्ष पशुपक्षीको नामबाट गणना गरिएकाले प्रकृतिपूजक रहेको मानिन्छ।
२८५७ वर्ष अघि मञ्जुश्रीले पन्चशीर्ष डाँडामा बसेर ८४ हजार ग्रन्थको धर्मदेशना गरेको ऐतिहासिक दिनबाट मञ्जुश्री संवत् सुरु भएको मान्दै ल्होछार मनाउन थालिएको जनविश्वास छ। नेपालका विभिन्न समुदायले फरक-फरक क्यालेण्डर मान्दै आएका छन्। सोनाम तथा ग्याल्बो ल्होसार, तमु ल्होसार लगायत ल्होसार पनि विभिन्न तिथिमा मनाउने गरिन्छ।
